No. This is a 40 hour Qualifying Interpreter Training Program. Which will provide you a Certificate of Completion.
It signifies the successful completion of a training program. Please note that a certificate of completion acknowledges your training, but it does not grant you any official credential, license or certification.
Essentially it indicates that you have undergone training and that you may be qualified to interpret but it doesn’t certify your ability to competently perform the role of a medical interpreter.
YES! A Certificate of Completion alone may be sufficient to SECURE A JOB as a medical interpreter.
Receiving a Certificate of Completion
This Certificate of Completion demonstrates to your future employer that you have undergone the necessary qualifying medical interpreting training.
Aside from your dedication and hard work, it indicates your understanding of the professionalism required and demanded by the Code of Ethics and Standards of practice. But over all, that YOU ARE CAPABLE of medical interpreting.
